About Us

Josh Cable CPD is a private company delivering exceptional quality CPD to businesses and Talking Therapies (IAPT) services nationwide. During his time working within mental healthcare, our founder Josh noticed a gap in the market for interesting and enjoyable training, which is designed specifically to upskill the workforce and increase awareness around mental health. Since founding the business in 2022, we have delivered CPD sessions for well-regarded Talking Therapies services and businesses located across the country, including Dorset, Hampshire, London, Kent, and Norfolk.

Who is Josh Cable?

Josh trained as a psychological therapist (PWP) in 2015, going on to work for a number of NHS and private sector mental health services, as a clinician, senior clinician, and clinical lead. Josh also lectured for five years on therapist and psychologist training programmes at the University of Essex and University of Southampton, as well as held a committee position at the British Psychological Society. Alongside running Josh Cable CPD, Josh currently works for healthtech startup Limbic, developing AI-powered tools to support therapists in their clinical practise.

Do you offer bespoke training sessions?

Yes, every session we offer is indiviudually crafted for the business or Talking Therapies service involved. We can offer as much or as little guidance on content as you would like, and will happily adapt to your team’s needs.

Do you only offer online (remote) training?

No, we are more than happy to come to you and deliver training in person. In these instances a fee of 45p per mile (from North Essex) will be added to your quote.

What is the difference between half day and full day training sessions?

This really depends on the size of your team, complexity of the topic, and how interactive you want the session to be. In general, half day sessions tend to be closer to a presentation, talk, or lecture. Whereas, the added time allowed by full day sessions gives greater room for additional activities such as group work, roleplay, games, and quizzes.
